What is the best type of protections when experiencing a heavy menstrual period?? I've tried many things but it seems like I am the only one dealing with this issue??
Any tips would be great.
Thank you. |

I used to have heavy periods too. I mentioned to my GP that I was taking 222's for cramps and he said that they can actually cause a heavy period. He then advised me to switch to Advil and it did lighten some---but it's still a drag and doesn't relieve the cramps entirely.
My best suggestion is to wear a lot of black on your heavy flow days, try to stay home if you can (or at least near a bathroom) and if you must go out, smuggle a roll of toilet paper in your purse, just in case. |

| Don't worry girl you are not the only one, unfortunately this is something that many of us have to deal with. In my case the cramps went away after having kids, but the heavy bleeding did not. All the best. |

I am so sorry! I have had heavy cycles my whole period career, especially with an IUD! I have noticed that if you double your increase in calcium, it aids in mentrual cramps and drink LOTS of water before and during your cycle.
I also make strong ginger tea or chew on candied ginger if my cramps are making me bed ridden.
Desirea: the best protection I found is Natura's liner and tampon line. They are fantastic with no bleach or plastics! |

Just to let you know (not to panic you!) that you should probably go to your GP if you have severe menstrual bleeding. It can be a symptom of a number of other problems.
Best to be safe than sorry! |
